FEES:
Members: $5 entry fee
Non-Members: $7 entry fee
Optional Funds: $1 each for each fund entry
(Ace, Birdie, Bogey Free, CTP, etc...)
PAYOUT:
Please refer to ODGC payout schedule posted at course.
Of the $5, $3 to cash payout, $1 to ODGC general fund and $1 to ODGC Competition Fund. Non-Members surcharge will be allocated to the ODGC general fund. Optional fund monies service appropriate fund. Money accumulates until fund is awarded. Large awards, such as a maximum value ace fund, will be mailed to recipient in the form of a check the following work week.
OPTIONAL FUNDS:
Each separate handicap (i.e. Sat. morning Turkey, Sun. afternoon UCF, etc.) will maintain an individual fund for each optional fund. The money stays with the course and the time slot. All multiple winners earned within a single round/handicap will split the existing fund evenly, unless a non-club member. Club members will be up for full 100% pay out (or appropriate split) while non-club members will be up for 75% pay out with the other 25% going back into the fund. Additionally, if a club member and a non-club member earn a fund payout in same round, there will be a payout with the club member receiving 62.5% and the non-club member receiving 37.5%, or appropriate split for additional winners.
DIVISIONS:
There will be two divisions for the handicaps, Cash and Plastic. Any participant who has a 10 or higher handicap can not participate in the Cash division. All players may participate in the Plastic division. There is no minimum numbers of players needed to create a division.
HANDICAP ESTABLISHMENT:
A minimum of three rounds are needed to establish a handicap. New participants will need three rounds to establish. A $3 fee for each establishing round will be assessed. After the completion of three establishing rounds, a non-member may choose to join the club at a reduced rate of $6, with the other $9 given as a credit from the three handicap establishing rounds. There is no time limit to establish or receive the discounted club membership incentive.
Club Members - Current members that have not established are not charged the $3 establishing fee.
Existing CFDGC handicap averages will be grandfathered into new system.
FACTORING INDIVIDUAL HANDICAP:
A true average of at least three rounds is required. Actual handicap will be factored by taking the true average of the player’s last seven rounds. If there are under seven rounds with established scores, the number of official rounds recorded will be used until seven is obtained. At that point, the last seven scores recorded for a player will represent the handicap. Non-whole averages will be rounded down the closest whole number (exp: 3.27?? 3.0 or -3.27?? -3.0) The maximum strokes any player handicap will be given are 18
COURSE PLAY:
The course for each casual round will be determined the morning of the round facilitating multiple configuration of both courses. Currently the course configuration will be created as to make all potential course combinations play as close to equal as possible. Please understand that there will be some variation in averages due to the increased courses.
